Has anyone taken cspt exam? If so where did you get the training for the test?

Where am I?

In PTCB Community you can ask and answer questions and share your experience with others!

I definitely felt like some of the questions would only be answered correctly if you had the hands on experience in compounding IV’s and chemo.
I have also taken ASHP courses on 797 as well as studied both chapters USP 797 and USP 800 prior to this exam. (I’m a nervous test taker ha)

I just got my results back, 1600 score, couldn't believe it. I used the ashp competencies; my employer had access to most of them, then just went around through various CE providers and did courses I could find on 797 related topics.

I have taken the C.S.P.T. exam.

A lot of the content spawns from experience in working with sterile compounding.  Training usually comes from the job, but as of now, there are at least three online C.S.P.T. education providers that the P.T.C.B. recognizes (I do not have any information on them myself):

Reading and understanding the USP 797 (primarily) and USP 800 material will go a very long way in preparing you for the exam.

Years ago, I took the sterile compounding class with N.P.T.A. (National Pharmacy Technician Association) and found its training to be very practical and useful.
